Practical Nurse
Licensed Practical Nursing careers across the country continue to grow. The variety of employment opportunities, the demand for qualified nurses, and personal career satisfaction are a few obvious reasons.
If you enjoy helping people, are interested in working directly with patients, and have good communication skills, then getting your practical nurse training from Professional Skills Institute may be a good option for you. PSI’s Practical Nurse program offers both DAY and EVENING CLASSES!
Duties performed by Licensed Practical Nurses:
- Provide basic bedside care
- Take vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration
- Monitor patients and report adverse reactions to medications and treatments
- Collect samples for testing
- Perform routine laboratory tests
- Provide a comfortable environment for patients
- Supervise nursing assistants and aides
Fully Equipped Labs With Simulator Manikins
PSI provides labs that are fully equipped with the tools and equipment that you can expect to be using in your job as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In addition, our students train using specialized simulator manikins that offer a realistic training experience. These manikins are used to simulate a variety of scenarios that healthcare professionals may encounter and provide immediate feedback and evaluation on student performance. They’re a valuable tool for students to practice and perfect their skills in a safe and controlled environment!
